Born in Albany New York, Crystal has led an eventful life.

At the age of 5, she and her family moved to Zanesville Ohio where she has lived ever since. She attended Zanesville High School where she was involved in their quality music program. She was involved in the Marching band, Concert bands and the Jazz band (The Blue Knights).

In 1975 Crystal began attending the Ohio State University where she became a member of the Ohio State Marching Band, playing the baritone horn.

In 1980 Crystal graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy and became a registered pharmacist. She currently works as a pharmacist at CVS in Zanesville.

Crystal has many hobbies such as crafting, sewing, knitting, and dog obedience training, and ballroom dancing, but her biggest hobby is also her passion,- music. She goes back to Ohio State each year to march with the Ohio State Alumni Marching band in their annual reunion game, she is active in the current Zanesville High School Marching band as an advisor, and sings with the Blue Knights alumni band (The Rusty Knights) which is a jazz/dance big band. She is a member of the Zanesville Memorial Concert Band. She also sings in a gospel quartet, The Grace Notes. Crystal currently lives in Zanesville with her husband John, and her 2 sons Michael, and Nicholas.                                               

Why does she enjoy singing? In her words, "The talents we have are gifts from God. What we do with them are our gifts to Him"
